
AGESCI (Association of Italian Catholic Guides and Scouts) is an educational association also present in Sicily with over 200 groups and 15,000 members.
The Regional Office is located in an asset confiscated from the mafia granted on loan for use by the Municipality of Gravina di Catania.
Inside, its own Study and Documentation Center is responsible for preserving and disseminating one's "memory". To protect the collected documentation, the archive was recognized as "of considerable historical interest" by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage.
It provides: a historical archive (documents, photos, films); a specialist library (books, brochures, degree theses and multimedia supports); a newspaper library (scout and specialist publications)
