Abstract
The concept of therapeutic landscape integrates physical, social and subjective factors and it is based on a holistic concept of health. The objective of this research is to examine the interrelationships between land, health and culture that make an environment therapeutic, and how cultural place-based values determine and help maintain physical, mental, spiritual and affective wellbeing. What type of landscapes most effectively promotes health Healthy maritime ecosystems provide a wide variety of resources and services (as tourisme) that contribute to human wellbeing. There is a growing interest in understanding how the interaction with "blue spaces", including inland and coastal aquatic environments, has beneficial effects on health. This research emphasises in the importance of the socio-cultural connection with the coastal environments and the sea.
