Abstract
Water pollution by contaminants of emerging concern (CEC) is a hot topic in the field of environmental protection. CEC are often not regulated and are potentially toxic posing a relevant risk for ecosystem and health. CEC are not removed efficiently by conventional treatment processes and advanced treatment processes are required. The study will investigate the removal and control of CEC in water by advanced treatment processes and the real-time control of CEC.
