Abstract
Microplastic particles have been revealed in the placentas of unborn babies allowing great concern. The health impact of microplastics in the feotal body is as yet unknown. But the scientists said they could carry chemicals that could cause long-term damage or upset the foetus's developing immune system. The particles are from the mothers. Aim of the project is detected microplastics in the placentas from 50 healthy women who had normal pregnancies and births using an innovative methodology patented in 2022 as EPO patent. We will study the effects of microplastics of placenta on growth of newborns to suggest , at the end, preventive measures.
