Development and application of advanced fluorescence imaging methods

Abstract

Modern confocal microscopy allows observing cellular structures and dynamics at different levels, ranging from the single molecule to small organisms. Research will be focused on the development of advanced fluorescence methods based on confocal microscopy (including time-resolved imaging, spectral imaging, fluorescence correlation spectroscopy, FRET and related image processing tools) and their application to the imaging of fixed and live cells.
