This project explores advanced strategies for the quantitative analysis of proteins, a central challenge in modern proteomics. The work will focus on understanding and improving the accuracy and reliability of protein quantification by systematically evaluating current analytical and proteolytic approaches. Through a combination of experimental work and data analysis, the student will investigate how methodological choices impact quantitative results in complex biological systems. The project sits at the interface of analytical biochemistry and proteomics, offering interdisciplinary training in method development, critical evaluation, and protein characterization.
The student will join an interdisciplinary research environment and work closely with the supervisor on a focused research project. The internship offers training in analytical biochemistry and proteomics, with opportunities to engage in scientific discussions and, when possible, attend scientific meetings. Highly motivated students are encouraged to apply. The position is based in Santander, a vibrant coastal city in northern Spain.
