Research Topic
Abstract
Natural products and their structural analogues have significantly contributed to pharmacotherapy. This project is related to synthesising bioactive natural product analogues, mainly polyphenols, as new potential inhibitors of metabolic enzymes such as alpha-glucosidase and alpha-amylase (managing type 2 diabetes) and lipase (managing obesity).
