Analysis of graywater microbioma using NGS

Abstract

Wastewater contains complex patterns of microorganisms' communities, including both prokaryotes and pico-eukaryotes. Through molecular metagenomic analysis it is now possible to characterize the biodiversity of wasterwater, making it possible to monitor the spread of harmful microorganisms and foresee their impact in terms of One Health approach. A citizen science initiative, named OBLò, has been launched in order to give a broader support to our goal
