MO-CVD synthesis of metal oxides films functionalized with organic dyes as upconversion layers for solar cells

Abstract

The project involves the synthesis of metal oxide thin films (CeO2, NiO, Cu2O, ZnO) by MO-CVD both on flat silicon and pyramidal silicon (etched with KOH) previously synthetized at the University of Catania. Those films will be functionalized with different organic dyes and the upconversion properties will be tested at the University of Cantabria.
