Non-invasive brain stimulation and Neuromodulation in Neurological and Neuropychiatric diseases

Abstract
The activity will aim to introduce students and young researchers to the field of neurophysiological sciences and techniques applied to Clinical Neurosciences. In particular, research projects will be focused on the study and main applications of neurophysiological tools for the assessment of the nervous system, both in normal conditions and in the context of different neurological and neuropsychiatric diseases, including sleep disorders, dementia, cerebrovascular diseases, and movement disorders. Among these methods, modern techniques of brain stimulation will be considered, which offer not only valuable diagnostic and prognostic hints, but also the ability to non-invasively and transiently modulate brain areas and networks for neurorehabilitation and "neuroenhancement" purposes.
