Município de Viseu

The Viseu City Council is the collegiate executive body of the municipality, made up of a president and eight councillors, one of whom is designated as vice-president.

The City Council has the material and operational powers provided for in Law No. 75/2013, of 12 September, which establishes the legal regime of local authorities.

The municipality has an extensive network of municipal museums, from the tradition of the Linen Museum and Casa da Ribeira to the interactivity of the Quartz Museum. From the contemporary art of Quinta da Cruz to the history of the Almeida Moreira Museum and the Municipal History Museum. From the discoveries of the Archaeological Collection to the authenticity of the Keil Amaral Museum.
