Control of emerging trace organic contaminants in (waste)water

Research Topic
Abstract

The Ph.D, student will have the opportunty to work in projects related to the removal and control of emerging trace organic contaminants (CEC) in water and/or wastewater. CEC removal will be investigated by using adbanced treatment processes (e.g., AOPs, GAC adsorption, membrane). Among the CEC, pharmaceutical, personal care products, disinfection by-products, PFAS will be investigated. The research will also address the real-time control of CEC in engineered water systems.
