PLB Cosmetici is a Sicilian reality, born from the love and the respect for our land and for all that it can offer us. The company takes shape thanks to the enthusiasm and skills of Paola Leonardi, passionate on natural cosmetics formulation. Following her studies, moved by the love for Sicily and the dream to get involved, Paola founded the company with the help of her husband Antonio, her twinsister Chiara, passionate researcher on nutraceutical fields and her brother Francesco, specialized in business development.

SIFI is a leading international company in the ophthalmic field, based in Italy, specialized in eye care since 1935. SIFI develops, manufactures and markets innovative therapeutic solutions for patients with ophthalmic diseases. SIFI is fully committed through its research and development to improve the quality of life of patients, exporting to more than 20 countries around the world with a direct presence in Italy, Spain, France, Romania, Mexico, Turkey.

Non-profit research organization. The Institute of Bio-architecture and Research plays a decisive role in the field of environmental sustainability, the redevelopment of the territory and the ecological conversion of the anthropization process. Its main activity is research and has obtained the definitive code from the Ministry of Education, University and Research, mandatory to access public funding in the field of research and / or training which constitutes an identification of the entity for the purposes set out in the DPR 11/7/1980 n. 382.

The Biomolecular Chemistry Institute (ICB) of the National Council of Research carries out research activities (basic and applied) in the field of Chemical Sciences. The ICB mission consists in the chemical study of biological systems in order to understand their functioning at the molecular level and finding out new technological applications.

The Institute of Crystallography Catania Unit of Research National Council (CNR-IC-CT) uses skills in the field of chemistry and biology aimed at studying the molecular mechanisms that underlie numerous human diseases for the development of new "tools " for prevention, diagnosis and therapies. The institute is characterized by many specific skills in the fields of chemistry (synthesis, physics-chemistry, analytical chemistry, thermodynamics) and biology (molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology).

Fidia Farmaceutici S.p.A. is an Italian pharmaceutical company that carries out R&D, production, marketing and sales activities internally. It operates all over the world with the aim of developing and marketing innovative health products based mainly on hyaluronic acid and derivatives. It invests 3.5% of its turnover in R&D and has a global portfolio of over 1,300 patents. The Noto Local Unit occupies about 6,000 square meters with R&D, biology, microbiology, molecular and analytical biology laboratories.

ISMN is a CNR research institute internationally recognized for the multidisciplinary activities in the field of nanostructured materials and enabling processes and technologies. The institute aims to generate the state of the art of knowledge in the field of chemical production and materials science and technology and to exploit the results of research through the relationship with the industrial and business world. ISMN is present throughout the country with its four offices, one of which is located in Palermo in via Ugo La Malfa, 153, in the Palermo Research Area.

Envisep srl is a company that boasts decades of experience in the field of environmental protection; it is directed by Prof. Riccardo Maggiore, former university professor of environmental chemistry at the University of Catania.
